Here at Herbert Woods we have a large fleet of superb day boats that are hired out all year round. So, if you are looking to spend your day touring the Norfolk Broads or you are a keen fisherman our day boats are sure to keep you busy all day long!
We include full training on the day to show you how to use the day boat. We can also suggest a route to ensure a fun filled day out.
Our standard day boats seat up to eight people. They are simple to operate and have a canvas cabriolet style cover to protect you from the elements. Available to hire by the hour, part or full day on a first come first serve basis (09.00 - 17.00 hrs). If you wish to book in advance you can using our booking form to the right of this page, please note you can only book for a Full Day.

Looking for something fun to do with the family? Hire a Canoe and explore Britains Magical Waterland as you gently row by.
Our Canadian Canoes take up to 3 people and are ideal for the complete novice. You do not need any real experience and it's a great way to spend the day on the River.
On arrival, a member of our Herbert Woods team will give you a very short brief on how to paddle and some very useful tips about the River and some of the best places to go to. Lifejackets are included if you don't have your own. After your short brief you are ready to go!

As you leave from Potter Heigham there are many places along the River Thurne that you can row to.
Hicking Broad, Horning and Womack water are all within a few miles. St bennetts abbey is just before you come across The River Ant which leads you to Ludham Bridge.
